Singer-songwriter Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Hollies has just unloaded his Manhattan Beach, California, home for $1.6 million.
Nash paid only $500,000 for the two-story Los Angeles-area residence, and now after two decades of ownership, he’s earned more than three times what he paid for the property. It’s no surprise that the value has increased so much since the house is nestled behind gates in the popular Tree Section neighborhood.
The folk rocker’s home has recently been remodeled and sports a cabin-like aesthetic with large double-hung windows, hardwood floors, and gold-painted beamed ceilings. There’s even a door that’s been salvaged from a Red Car trolley on display in the office/nook area.
In addition to the two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, the 1,320-square-foot home holds an updated kitchen with butcher-block islands and a deck outfitted with a Balinese-style daybed. There’s also a garage that Nash converted into a photo studio, a finished basement with a wine cellar, and a guest apartment with a kitchenette on the property.
