The Autonomous Tent Company now has the perfect solution for those looking to enjoy some time out in nature while still maintaining some of the finer comforts in life.
Cocoon is the brand’s newest creation, and the impressive tent even features a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. Available as the Cocoon and its larger counterpart, the Tipi, both can be designed to run off-the-grid and stand up to strong weather.
Tipi even comes complete with two bedrooms and can function as a hunting lodge. With California architect Harry Gesner as part of the company, it’s no surprise that the semi-permanent structure is so striking with a translucent fabric and steel or aluminum tube frame.
Starting at around $100,000, the new Cocoon doesn’t require a foundation and is equipped for any high-end camping situation with the ability to add a solar power array, a solar hot water array, a composting toilet, a grey water system, and a wood-burning stove.
