Most of the time we focus solely on the sound a speaker produces, and for good reason, since it is clearly the most important part when making a choice for a household sound appliance that will be utilized for years.
But a close second in the level of importance when choosing a sound system is how it looks, which is where Grovemade steps in with speakers that serve as beautiful works of art for one’s home in addition to a producer of quality sound.
The Grovemade Speaker System is built out of either walnut or maple and is a far cry from the often aesthetically unimpressive speakers that currently dominate the market.
The Portland, Oregon-based company teamed up with designer Joey Roth, who also hails from PDX, to create a unique look. He was able to develop a design that could both be a one-off in a home and also fit in with Grovemade’s pre-existing Desk Collection at the same time.
Grovemade’s new speakers feature Dual 25-watt amplifiers that power a 2-inch full-range driver, which, when paired with the back-loaded horn, is created to cause more powerful lows.
The maple version of the Grovemade Speaker System runs for $500, with $100 added to the price tag of the walnut edition of the luxury speakers.
