Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant began a partnership with the Riva Historical Society back in 2009 to help preserve the few Riva boats in existence. Now, a new watch has been introduced in service of that aim.

The Riva Historical Society organization was founded by architect Piero Maria Gibellini with engineer Carlo Riva. As part of their preservation goal, Frederique Constant develops a limited-run timepiece each year for fundraising purposes.

The new Nautical Frederique Constant Runabout boasts a stainless steel or steel rose gold PVD 43mm case that comes complete with a sapphire crystal and a sapphire display back that sports an etched flag of the Riva Historical Society.

Since only 2,888 units will be available, the watch includes additional luxe features like 98 feet of water resistance, luminous hands and indices, arabic numeral markers, and an automatic Frederique Constant caliber FC-303. That all comes complete with 25 jewels, a 42-hour power reserve, and 28,800 VPH.

Between the incredible craftsmanship and the great cause, it’s also finished with a black or brown leather strap, a steel or steel rose gold PVD buckle, and a special gift box with a miniature wooden powerboat.
