The Wilson X Connected football has arrived just in time for football enthusiasts to gauge their own results with a ball that’s better—or at least smarter—than those the pros use.

The X Connected comes with a variety of sensors that record metrics like spin rate, spiral efficiency, velocity, distance traveled, and even a quick-glance composite score after every throw via Bluetooth to a Wilson X connected app.

The same app allows owners to live out game-like moments such as last-minute drives by applying throwing scores to simulations in the app that feature real NFL teams.

Wilson’s X Connected football doesn’t require a charge either. It has a battery life of 500 hours, which is up to 200,000 throws, after which it can be used just as a regular football.

The X Connected football is available in both official and junior sizes with a $199 price tag. It also comes with a copy of Madden NFL ’17 for either the XBox One or PS4 gaming consoles.
