Most of us no longer write letters, let alone do we seal them with wax and our signet ring. However, that doesn’t mean the look of the functional ring has gone out of style.

Dior’s new Lucky Dior collection of signet rings proves that pieces from the past still have a place in a modern wardrobe. Of course, the luxury French brand has given the classic ring an update with a variety of precious stone and symbol combinations.

The new rings are available in white gold, rose gold, and yellow gold, and each symbol chosen is of special importance to Christian Dior.

What has long been a jewelry staple for hundreds of years has been given quite the update. Wearers can choose from a variety of precious stones and symbols, but several stand out, like the bee ring set in deep black onyx that pays tribute to Christian Dior seamstresses.

There’s also the clover, which is a symbol of good luck, that is set on ammonite. Additional standouts from the line include the star on a bright brown stone and the oval that’s paired with fluorite, which represents protection.

Of course, the CD initials are a key part of the collection, too, and are set on the side of some of the bands.
