With social media sites like Facebook integrating 360-degree video and cameras and camera outfits like GoPro offering their own solution for holistic full spectrum video, Casio has unveiled its new EX-FR200.
The EX-FR200’s camera body almost looks like a large smartphone thanks to a dedicated LCD display. It controls a pair of lenses that double as sensor units to capture 360-degree action.
Casio made the EX-FR200 with adrenaline junkies in mind. It’s impact-resistant, freeze-proof, waterproof, and it also comes WiFi and Bluetooth ready so that the lenses can be placed elsewhere to gather footage.
Casio’s camera can be used in single lens mode as well, meaning it can also capture in 180-degree fisheye-style and 208-degree for an ultra-wide angled shot.
The only downside to Casio’s ultra-durable 360-degree camera is that it will only be released in Japan, for now, when it comes out in September.
