Dior’s luxury jewelry collection Archi was just introduced two years ago, yet the line is now unveiling new pieces that pay tribute to what many consider to be Christian Dior’s first love: architecture.
Victoire de Castellane’s Archi Dior Jewelry Collection brilliantly translates pieces from the French fashion house into unique and elegant accessories. Now, the luxurious jeweler has added eight new designs that took their inspiration from the brand’s Cocotte houndstooth dress and the Milieu du Sièle line.
The dress was first created in 1948, while the luxe line was unveiled a year later in 1949. To match the Cocotte houndstooth dress’ unique asymmetric hem, Castellane brought the same look to an asymmetric ring and necklace made of white gold and covered in diamonds.
Inspiration from the Milieu du Dièle line is clear, too, with a necklace, earrings, and rings that pay tribute to the collection’s geometric looks. Those pieces are made from white gold and rose gold and also sport a bevy of diamonds.
By taking inspiration from such iconic pieces, Archi was able to embody some of Dior’s passion for architectural elements, something that is still a technique of the fashion house today.
“I wanted to be an architect; but as a couturier I am obliged to follow the laws and principles of architecture,” said Christian Dior.
