Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Lock Down a $20M Home in Tribeca

Former Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bundchen recently turned heads during her much-ballyhooed catwalk at the Olympics’ opening ceremony, and it looks like she and her hubby, four-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady, will be turning heads for years to come in their new waterfront pad in Tribeca. The five-bedroom apartment is one of the units in the Robert A.M. Stern-designed 70 Vestry, a long-awaited, limestone-clad development that’s sure to attract other big-name buyers.

The power couple’s 5,000-square-foot home is on an upper floor of the 14-story building, which means they’ll have a pretty stunning Hudson River view from the apartment’s sprawling terrace, though they apparently balked at the development’s $65 million penthouse.

They were reportedly attracted to the privacy offered by the building’s automated garage and porte-cochère entrance—the 82-foot lap pool, squash court, sauna and steam room may have also had something to do with it. The building also has cycling, yoga and pilates studios, and the luxurious interiors are being handled by celebrity decorator Daniel Romualdez.

According to reports, the pair will move from their One Madison digs in the Flatiron district once construction at 70 Vestry is finished in 2018. They also have properties in Los Angeles and Brookline, Massachusetts.

Of note: 70 Vestry’s developer, Related Group, is fronted by Stephen Ross, who happens to own Brady’s division rival Miami Dolphins, and $20 million won’t be the quarterback’s only gift to Ross this year: as a result of the Deflategate debacle, Brady will be sitting out the Patriots’ September 18th game against the Dolphins.
