The creative behind Eisenman Architects in New York has just put his two-bedroom West Village apartment on the market for $2.39 million.

Architect Peter Eisenman’s newly listed co-op is located at 101 West 12th Street and is co-owned with his wife, Cynthia Davidson. The architect is well-known and considered one of the “five” influential New York architects who share a dedication to a “pure form of architectural modernism.”

Alongside Michael Graves, Charles Gwathmey, John Hejduk, and Richard Meier, Eisenman is known for designing sleek, modern structures. Even though the movement embodies stripped-down styles, Eisenman’s home is remarkably charming, even quaint.

Filled with books and framed art and memorabilia, it’s the city views available through wall-to-wall windows that truly add value to the John Adams building unit. Complete with a combined living and dining room, a separate office with a built-in desk, a laundry room, and hardwood floors, it’s ready to offer its next resident a comfortable life.

This unit is the second bought by Eisenman and Davidson, who originally purchased the co-op for $1.66 million in 2007.
