The all-new Timmermans Scrambler E-Bike may sport advanced technology, but unlike similar bikes, it maintains a classic aesthetic without any of the sometimes-distracting futuristic bells and whistles.

Created with a frame taken from a transport bike first used in the 1930s, the bike also includes other classic pieces like an old school set of wheels with a three-speed hub and disk brakes. What isn’t old school, though, is the electric motor that can push the E-Bike to speeds up to 15 mph or 28 mph, depending on the chosen version.

Riders can also enjoy going off-road since the bike comes with a set of large dirt-ready wheels and a custom-made Timmermans Fietsen headlight grille.

Teun Timmermans is known for taking bikes long neglected and giving them quite a facelift. The addition of this electric motor is a bit unusual for the bike expert, but he knocked it out of the park by keeping the twin top tubes and front end from the original scrambler.

The bike expert fabricated the seat post and lower half of the frame to fit the Gates carbon belt drive, and he added the Bafang 750 watt mid-drive motor, which is what really takes this unique bike to the next level.

Priced at $3,800, Timmermans’ choice of the Bafang was smart since it’s the optimum mid-drive e-motor available on the market at just 8.5 pounds. It can even be used with proprietary gearing, so riders can scale hills or hit top speeds with ease.
