An order guide for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was just leaked, and now the world knows the sixth-generation of the Camaro will be the most muscular version ever and will pack a punch too, making 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
The full 107-page order paperwork was leaked onto Camaro6.com, a website for fans of the model, before Chevy and General Motors could unveil the final specifications. The ZL1 that debuted at the 2016 New York Auto Show was listed at 640 hp and 640 pound-feet of twist, so it appears that the Camaro has gained 10 horses under its hood.
This also means the Camaro ZL1 shares the same specs as the company’s Corvette Z06, which is fitting seeing as the pair of Chevy supercars share the same 6.2-liter LT4 V8 power plant. The ZL1 also serves as the first model to offer a brand new 10-speed automatic transmission that Chevy co-created with Ford. And for those who are fans of hands-on handling, the Camaro will also come with the option of a six-speed manual drivetrain.
Coupe versions of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 will go on sale later this year, with drop-top examples of the car hitting showroom floors in the first quarter of 2017.
