Sony’s new Glass Sound Speaker serves as both a hidden speaker and a source of ambient lighting ready to serve both purposes and act as a decoration on any table or countertop.
The glass cylinder tweeter pumps out audio in all directions with LDAC Bluetooth capabilities while built-in LEDs offer a candlelight-like glow.
With a 50mm woofer, the artful creation offers a mid-range sound with a maximum audio output of 13W, so it won’t necessarily produce the deepest bass sounds, but it will offer angelic vocals and crystal clear sounds from higher pitch tones due to the glass design.
Thanks to a lightweight construction, the portable speaker features four-hour battery life so the new home décor/speaker will be the life of the party, even into the wee hours.
The Glass Sound Speaker is only available at MoMA, retailing at $799.
