One of the pitfalls of current robotic floor vacuums currently available is their lack of suction, a sticking point making it almost pointless to own one. However, Samsung’s new Powerbot Turbo Vacuum is the answer to that common problem.
Featuring Samsung’s CycloneForce design, the Powerbot boasts a suction 70 times better than competing hands-free robotic vacuums. The Powerbot Turbo also features WiFi capability that allow its owners to select which rooms to clean and when to do so thanks to an onboard camera that creates a map of its owner’s home to help it avoid objects.
Samsung has given the floor vac three different power modes, each of which affect the run time of the Powerbot, meaning it will clean for 30, 60, or 90 minutes before it needs to recharge.
The Powerbot Turbo costs $1,200, a little more than its Neato Botvac and iRobot Roomba competitors. Samsung also offers the Powerbot Essential, which retails for $800 and is a little less powerful than its new sibling.
