The Sam Hill Mansion is a jaw-dropping piece of classic architecture at the top of Highland Drive in Seattle, Washington, and it is currently the most expensive home on the open market in the Emerald City with a $15-million asking price.

The neoclassical manse was once owned by philanthropist Samuel Hill and was designed by Hornblower & Marshall in 1908. And while the exterior screams 20th-century luxury, the interior has been kept up to date, though it still boasts a few touches of the original styling.

Such features include exposed steel beams in the dining room, the original floors and fireplace in the master suite, an incredible gym, a rooftop patio with seating and al fresco dining, and gas-lit lamps that light the grounds with a golden age glow.

There’s also the added attraction of a place on the National Register of Historic Places, so the new owner will literally be living in history.
