Trey Parker, one half of the transgressive team that brought us South Park and the Tony Award-winning Book of Mormon, made quick work of his recent Venice, California, listing, unloading the 3,300-square-foot pad for $4.3 million. That number was more than $300,000 over Parker’s asking price, and it came within three weeks of the listing—it’s also a cool million over what Parker paid for the home in 2010, shortly after its construction.
The boxy, contemporary 4-bedroom features a stone façade and canal access with an adjacent terrace and built-in grilling station. Inside, the first level features an open concept living/dining area with center-islanded kitchen featuring stainless appliances and gridded tile backsplashes. Glass doors give a view of the canal and patio area, while a stone fireplace adds a cozy touch to the sleek industrial vibe of the floor.
A metal and hardwood staircase leads to the second floor, where the master bedroom includes French doors, a sitting area and a long balconette. The top floor includes a wet bar and game room. A second bedroom has been outfitted as an office and includes its own bathroom, while the rooftop terrace features separate living and dining areas and a wraparound view of the neighborhood.
Parker, whose net worth has been estimated at $350 million, still owns a home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, as well as properties in Manhattan and Kauai and a ski lodge in Colorado, which he shares with South Park partner Matt Stone. The pair will unveil the astonishing 20th season of their Comedy Central satire in September.
