Panerai’s new Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days (PAM673) may look like a modern watch, but its link to history is so strong that it truly wows every time owners wear the special edition timepiece that honors one of the most recognized dive watches ever assembled.
Based on the Marina Militare-issued watches Panerai built for Italian Navy commandos, the main clue to this being a re-make of a special classic is the “Marina Militare” mark scrolled across the dial.
Panerai continued the current trend of new-vintage watches with this model by duplicating the same 587 dial for the new model and even giving it the same P.3000 manual-winding movement. The exception is the new 47mm stainless steel Luminor case that offers a water resistance of almost 330 feet.
The Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days comes with both rubber and Tuscan leather straps. Interested buyers should move quickly, as there’s a limited production of only 1,000 units, each with a $10,200 price.
