With technology blending with home appliances like never before, there is a new kitchen toy seeking to bring juicing to the next level thanks to Doug Evans’ new company, Juicero.

Juicero is a juice-ordering app, kitchen-counter appliance, and 111,000-square-foot-food processing factory in Los Angeles that washes and slices fruit all day long all rolled into one forward-thinking business model.

Evans was able to build up $120 million in investments throughout Silicon Valley from the likes of Google Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, along with bigger companies like Campbell Soup.

The Juicero juicer makes an eight-ounce glass of juice utilizing a smartphone app that tells the Juicero what to do with QR codes on packaging from fruit specially cut and provided by the company facility.

Not only is the Juicero countertop juicer unique, but it is also revolutionary in the way it juices the specially packaged fruits and veggies.

“Organic cold-pressed juice is rainwater filtered through the soil and the roots and the stems and the plants,” Evans said about the Juicero. “You extract the water molecules, the chlorophyll, the anthocyanin and the flavonoids and the micronutrients. You’re getting this living nutrition. It’s like drinking the nectar of the earth.”

The Juicero appliance costs $700.
