Acura’s new track-ready NSX GT3 received mixed responses when it sped out on the Gingerman Raceway in Michigan.
The automaker unveiled the vehicle ahead of the upcoming Pirelli World Challenge in 2017, and to the surprise of the crowd, the car appeared “stripped” or “naked.” In fact, it just didn’t have a wrap, leaving its natural slate hue to shine on its own.
Without the wrapper on, the curves and lines of the sleek NSX’s carbon-fiber body were truly on display, allowing viewers to enjoy the subtleties of the patterned, lightweight material.
Aside from its naked unveiling, the car is powerful with a 3.5 liter V6 engine that pushes power to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox. Although specs haven’t been made public, the street-legal version of the NSX produces 573 horses and 476 pound-feet of torque, so the track-ready car is sure to be both fast and powerful.
