The Montecito, California, home of Ed Snider, the late Philadelphia Flyers owner and entertainment magnate, has just landed on the market for $52 million.

Snider’s former estate spans 9.37 acres and is made up of four contiguous parcels with a 21,345-square-foot villa at the center. Built in 2001, the Italianate-inspired main home was designed by architect David E. Martin, and it sports breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding mountain vistas.

The luxurious eight-bedroom home was designed for entertaining with specialized formal areas, a wood-paneled office/den, and bi-folding doors that create a mixed indoor-outdoor space. There’s also a home theater, a wine cellar, an old-fashioned bar, and a game room in the lower-level lounge.

Styled in subdued colors and complete with dark wood paneling, the master suite is complete with a sitting room and glass doors opening onto a terrace with views of the grounds.

The property is home to formal gardens, fountains, a reflecting pond, a swimming pool, and an outdoor pavilion. There’s also a two-story tennis pavilion, a tennis court, and a two-bedroom guesthouse on the estate.

Snider died earlier this year after an impressive career. He formerly owned the Philadelphia 76ers, and was part-owner of the Philadelphia Eagles.
