After an extended stay on the sale block, Karl Lagerfeld’s former condo in the Gramercy Park historic district has been re-listed as a rental by its new owner.
Offering three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and over 2,100 square feet of living space in one of the pricier neighborhoods of the Lower East Side, the contemporary condo is going for $25,000 a month. Other amenities include a chef’s kitchen done in stainless steal and a travertine marble-accented master bath with separate tub and shower.
The building also comes with the perk of access to one of New York’s most exclusive parks—yes, that’s right. Gramercy Park is a private, members-only park in Manhattan—one of only two in the city and three in the state.
Lagerfeld bought the condo back in 2006 for $6.7 million but never moved in. In 2011, he put it up for sale, but it sat on the market for two years before being scooped up by Sebastian Barrack, an executive at Macquarie Bank.
