NASCAR team owner and NBA analyst Brad Daugherty has just unloaded his impressive Santa Barbara, California, home, taking $2.375 million for the Hope Ranch-area property.
The former pro basketball player bought the home last year for $2.356 million, so he didn’t make much of a killing after first listing the ranch-style home for as much as $2.795 million to no avail.
Built in 1953, the three-bed, three-bath home has recently been remodeled to include skylights, recessed lighting, inlaid wood floors and bi-folding walls of glass for indoor-outdoor living. Stretching to 2,136 square feet, the home sports an open-plan living room and a beautifully updated kitchen complete with a stainless steel range and white subway tile.
Out back, the owner will enjoy a cabana with an outdoor shower, a stone patio with a fire pit and a built-in barbecue, and plenty of lush landscaping. There’s also a two-stall barn, a tack room, and a swimming pool with a spa on the two-plus-acre plot.
Daugherty was the No.1 pick in the 1986 NBA Draft, and he went on to play eight seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
