Textile designer John Allen and luxury brand Loewe have joined together once again to collaborate on a new series of artistic accessories.
Expert knitter and weaver Allen is using his expertise to offer some of his unique leather marquetry skills to a special selection of Loewe’s accessories. It should come as no surprise that Allen was hand-selected by Loewe’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson, since his printed, woven, and knitted works are well regarded.
“John’s use of colour and the purity of his work translates perfectly to Loewe, which stands for the very best in craft today,” said Anderson about the textile artist.
The new collection features two of Allen’s abstracted British landscape settings that have been added to carriers, the T-pouch, and the new T-Bucket tote. Both the “Lost Dog” and “Stonehenge” designs lend a bold and avant-garde style to the traditional pieces.
Loewe also reintroduced its Puzzle bag with similar colors of bold oranges, corals, and blues. Additionally, fans of the brand will be able to purchase similarly themed scarves, espadrilles, and beach towels.
