Italian supercar giant Automobili Lamborghini has come out with the Aventador Miura Homage, which is a special edition of the current Aventador coupe offering tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Miura, the father of all V12 Lamborghini sports cars.
The Aventador Miura Homage models itself after the original Miura design with an upper body in one color that is contrasted by the lower body and sill in a different hue. Six of the Italian brand’s famous colors have been selected for the Homage, including Verde Scandal, Blu Tahiti, and Rosso Arancio Miura.
Lamborghini has given the Miura Homage 20-inch and 21-inch Dione wheels that come in either matte silver or gold complete with appropriate badging to reflect its status as the Aventador Miura Homage.
Inside, Lambo has offered either Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather with tone-on-tone stitching and the Miura 50th logo woven into the upper parts of the seats in either gold or silver.
Under the hood, the Aventador Miura Homage boasts a 6.5-liter V12 engine that makes 700 horsepower and nearly 510 pound-feet of torque. The special edition model features a top speed of 217 mph and a zero-to-62 mph split of only 2.9 seconds.
Lamborghini revealed the Aventador Miura Homage as part of its 50th anniversary celebration for the Miura at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK during the last weekend of June.
