Luxury watchmaker Harry Winston has continued its tradition of breaking the mold in watchmaking with its new Histoire de Tourbillon 7 that the American company revealed at BaselWorld 2016.
As the name of the model implies, Harry Winston’s 7th edition of the line offers a look at tourbillons. Last year the Histoire de Tourbillon featured a tri-axial tourbillon and before that a double tourbillon. Now there is a pair of identical bi-axial tourbillons found in the new limited-edition watch.
The other main feature of the timepiece is the manual-winding caliber HW4502 that makes it tick and has a 55-hour power reserve.
On the exterior, Harry Winston has housed the anodized aluminum rectangular dial of the Histoire de Tourbillon 7 in an 18k white gold case. The large 50mm size, which is necessary for the two cages of the double bi-axial tourbillons, means that future owners will need to have a pretty big wrist for the 7 to sit on.
The Histoire de Tourbillon 7 is limited to only 20 examples and will be available in either red or anthracite versions.
