Rolex took BaselWorld 2016 by storm with its Cosmograph Daytona and its Syloxi Hairspring. However, the luxury watchmaker also introduced its new Air King, which might boast the craziest dial the Swiss watchmaker has ever produced.

The Oyster Perpetual Air King comes with a black dial featuring a Chromalight triangle marker at the 12 o’clock and Arabic numerals in white gold at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock spots.

There are also markers indicating the numbers going from 5-to-55 minutes and, of course, 60-minute markers around the outside of the watch face. Wearers will also find the badging “Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” in the middle.

As its name implies, the Air King is made with the aviation world in mind, and the movement can completely withstand magnetic perturbations. The Rolex caliber 3131 that includes the anti-magnetic parachrom hairspring not only makes it safe in flight, but it is also incredibly accurate to the level of +2/-2 seconds per day.

The intricate timepiece is attached to an Oyster bracelet made of flat three-piece links as the official name implies. The Oyster Perpetual Air King is also water resistant up to over 328 feet and has a power reserve of up to 48 hours.
