Swiss brand Jaeger-LeCoultre has unleashed a modern reincarnation of its 1931 Reverso model of watches that were, at the time, the top of the line in watchmaking.
The new Reverso One High Jewelry women’s timepiece comes studded with baguette-cut diamonds with a mother-of-pearl dial. As indicated by its name, it features a Duetto concept with a display on the back, but this time, it’s a dark black aventurine dial with the minute and hour hands ticking across an outline of diamonds.
The luxurious dual dials create a back-to-back effect with two very different design styles.
French designer Rene-Alfred Chauvot designed the original Reverso watch for Jaeger SA and LeCoultre for Swiss businessman and watch collector Cesar de Trey. The Reverso went on to become a big hit in the 1930s.
The new Reverso One High Jewelry comes with a white gold case and is situated on a satin black strap.
