OMEGA’s new Seamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black collection of watches represents the next level of ceramic watchmaking as a blend of a GMT model and an inventive diving timepiece.

The Swiss brand used a single block of black ceramic to create the case of the Deep Black watches. The Black and Sedena Gold versions feature a glossy effect on the dials, while the blue and black models boast a matte effect that helps increase visibility underwater.

The strap of the watch is actually rubber, but it looks like a stitched fabric and features an anti-bacterial coating.

The new OMEGA Seamaster comes with a special feature for divers: an escape valve to prevents the helium molecules that can expand and destroy the crystal face or caseback of a timepiece during decompression.

The new collection of Seamaster Planet Ocean Deep Black watches also have the ability to function up to 1,968 feet (600 meters) and come with OMEGA’s in-house caliber 8906 with a 60-hour power reserve.

Future owners will need to drop $10,800 to get their hands on one of OMEGA’s new Deep Black watches.
