Clear cases have become increasingly popular, so it should come as no surprise that Greubel Forsey’s new watch utilizes a transparent one.
Yet, the luxurious brand hasn’t just introduced a clear case, they’ve created their all-new Double Tourbillon 30° Technique with a sapphire casing. The brand is known for its luxe three-dimensional super-complicated watch, and now wearers can see the intricate movements run at their wrists.
Limited to only eight examples, the new Sapphire watch is a U.S. exclusive, and unlike similar watches, Greubel Forsey has crafted its 38.5-mm case from a single sapphire crystal, including the horns, case, and sides.
The luxury watchmaker utilized its patented 396-part tourbillon movement, but for the first time, wearers can observe its intricate movement in action since it’s no longer obstructed by a platinum case. It also sports a hand-wound caliber complete with two tourbillon escapements.
Lucky owners of the new Double Tourbillon 30° Technique will enjoy a luxurious watch with 120 hours of power reserve and an incredible Sapphire case for around $1.1 million.
