To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the chronograph, Ateliers Louis Moinet has come out with a new limited-edition timepiece dubbed the Memoris 200th Anniversary. The new watch is based on the Compteur de Tierces, the first-ever chronograph watch invented by Louis Moinet back in 1816.
Ateliers Louis Moinet’s newest timepiece is a bicentenary edition of its Memoris watch, which was created last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the company. For this new piece, the chronograph has been moved to the front of the dial so it can be clearly seen and celebrated.
The Swiss-based company has housed the functions of the special-edition watch in an 18-karat rose gold case that is created from 52 pieces and has a two-part bezel held together by six screws, making it a fine example of simple elegance.
The Memoris 200th Anniversary was first revealed at Baselworld 2016 and will be limited to just 20 editions.
