German tuner Lorinser has come out with a special new upgrade for the Mercedes-AMG GT and GT S models. It doesn’t go over the top with a complete overhaul of the model but adds sheer power to already impressive stock vehicles.
Lorinser’s tweaks to the engine make it achieve maximum output of 595 horsepower, a 92-hp increase, and an impressive 553 pound-feet of torque at 4,900 rpm.
These upgrades bring the zero-to-62 mph sprint time of the GT and GT S down to 3.6 seconds and a stop-to-124 mph split of just 10.1 seconds. The Lorinser modified GT and GT S can also hit a top speed of 186 mph in only 27.3 seconds.
While Lorinser may not offer a range of bespoke interior upgrades or eccentric body kits, it does have a lineup of alloy wheels for the GT and GT S models. The wheels have been designed by the Affalterbach division of Mercedes-Benz and can add just a hint of flair to the vehicles.
Lorinser’s RSK 8 are three-piece forged alloy wheels for the Mercedes-AMG GT and GT S feature seven spokes that come in anodized black or gold and are perfect for summer tires. Lorinser also offers its RS9 wheels that are ideal for winter tires for when the time or climate calls for them.
The best part of Lorinser’s power upgrade may be its price, which is just $4,150. This means it is probably one of the best available tuning deals for a Mercedes-AMG on the market.
