Wal-Mart Chairman Greg Penner is looking to offload his 9,197-square-foot mansion in Carmel, California, for $8.75 million.
Penner’s house has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an open kitchen/family room, and a formal dining room. The property also boasts stunning views, a pool, a pool house, and an outdoor kitchen and dining area.
The home is situated on 27 acres in the hills above Carmel and is in walking distance of the nearby Ranch Club, which offers its members tennis courts, bocce courts, an 18-acre lake, four pools, an equestrian center, and 100 miles of trails for biking, hiking, or horseback riding. The estate is also a little over 30 minutes from the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Penner is the grandson-in-law to Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, after marrying Walton’s granddaughter, Carrie, following their time together at Georgetown University. Penner took over as the company’s chairman about a year ago when his father-in-law, Rob Walton, passed the job on to him.
The Penners also own a home near San Francisco in Atherton, California.
