Carbon fiber gurus Vitesse AuDessus have come out with a new naked carbon-fiber supercar. The American company’s own reworking of a Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster makes the already sought-after vehicle even more advanced.
Vitesse AuDessus’ new styling comes on the heels of McLaren’s release of its first-ever production car with an exposed carbon-fiber finish, the MSO Carbon Series LT.
The Maryland-based tuner dressed the Aventador Superveloce to the nines with its favorite material. Vitesse AuDessus got rid of the plastic mirrors, side skirts, rear diffuser, and lower front bumper and replaced these parts with versions made from carbon fiber. Oh yeah, it also made a roof and special wheels from carbon fiber to complete the material takeover.
Vitesse AuDessus doesn’t just discard the original parts, it places them in a special storage area so customers can switch back to the stock version if they ever change their minds or want to restore their vehicle one day.
The tuner claims these specially created parts will be limited to 300 examples. While it will exchange any of the aforementioned parts on an item-by-item basis, Vitesse AuDessus offers two packages, the $15,525 Essentials Package (lower front bumper, side skirts, mirrors, and rear diffuser), and the $22,275 Extended Package (all of the above plus the roof).
The wheels run $25,000 and feature not only a lighter and stronger design, but also a proprietary coating to protect the carbon fiber from the heat generated by the carbon ceramic rotors of the Lamborghini.
To completely overhaul an Aventador Superveloce, including all of the parts listed above, the lower front bumper, the bill adds up to $42,275, and that’s including a $5,000 discount for all of the wheels being purchased with one of the optional packages.
