Luxurious private jets are great, but most are still missing that special touch from home. This is no longer a concern though for China’s HNA Aviation Group since they just ordered an incredible flying mansion.
Okay, it’s not technically a flying mansion, but there are few other ways to describe it. The new Boeing 787-8 private jet spans 2,400 square feet and can hold 40 passengers in the lap of luxury.
Boasting a flying time of 17 hours, the 787 Boeing Business Jet has an impressive range of almost 9,800 miles. Aviation Consulting Firm Kestrel Aviation oversaw the massive jet’s creation, and they surely didn’t disappoint.
Although this plane isn’t the first 787 to be converted for private use, it’s certainly the first Dreamliner built specifically as a Boeing Business Jet.
As the 143rd Dreamliner to come from Boeing’s factory, it was delivered to Kestrel back in January of 2014. Since they were taking on a new venture, Kestrel paired with Pierrejean Design Studios and Greenpoint Technologies to develop the jet’s interior over the course of a year and a half.
Naturally, such an impressive and luxurious feat doesn’t come cheap. The large private Boeing 787-8 has a list price of $224.6 million, and its impressive modifications add at least another $100 million to the bill.
