The five-bedroom triplex penthouse located in the only Zaha-Hadid-desgined residential building in New York is now available for $50 million.
An Iraqi architect, the late Hadid—who recently passed on March 31st of this year—was the first Arab woman to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
The 39-unit building is located at 520 West 28th right on New York City’s High Line and boasts many of Hadid’s signature design facets, such as sculptural internal features, glass-enclosed pavilions, and wrap-around terraces all within a hand-rubbed metal façade.
The unit in question, Penthouse 37, even features a three-story sculptural staircase that was designed by Hadid herself. Other amenities in the triplex up for grabs include a 1,250-square-foot entertainment level with a fireplace and private balcony, a Hadid-designed kitchen with Gaggenau appliances, a library, and a 2,218-square-foot wrap-around terrace that includes a garden and outdoor kitchen.
The building also features a bevy of other amenities, such as a fitness center, a 75-foot swimming pool, a reservable lounge and entertainment suite, and a private IMAX theater.
