Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez has purchased the Bel Air home of actress Sela Ward and her husband, Howard Sherman, for $28 million. However, Lopez isn’t moving too far from home since the house she’s leaving is in the nearby Hidden Hills area.

Originally listed for $39.995 million in September, the home was purchased by Sherman and Ward more than ten years ago for $3.8 million. they conducted renovations with a French country aesthetic in mind. Accents from around the world and reclaimed materials from vintage structures in Louisiana and Mississippi add a unique flair to the celeb estate.

The main home was built in 1940 and was designed by architect Samuel Marx. Spanning 14,000 square feet set on an eight-acre plot, the estate features a 100-seat outdoor amphitheater, two guest cottages, and an infinity-edge swimming pool.

With 7 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for friends and family, and 10 stone or carved wood fireplaces ensure everyone feels warm and cozy.

Luxury amenities include features like a skylight-topped and stone-walled kitchen, a massage room, a pub, and a 30-seat home theater. In addition to the guest cottage that was in use as an art studio, the estate sports lush grounds with acres of walking paths and trails, several waterfalls, koi ponds, a miniature golf course, a stone cabana, and a man-made swimming pond with a beach entry.

Lopez is currently starring in the crime drama “Shades of Blue” after working as a judge on “American Idol” for the past five years. Her Hidden Hills home is for sale for $12.5 million.
