Nissan has just unveiled its newly updated 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO, and it sports an upgraded hood that “avoids deformation at extremely high speeds,” which means it no longer features unintentional active aerodynamics.
Drivers will be happy to see that the NISMO’s upgrades are the same ones displayed on the 2017 GT-R that was on display at the 2016 New York Auto Show. Updates include a refreshed dashboard, upgraded interior, and a reinforced body. This gives the car a sleek, sporty aesthetic.
However, the NISMO version includes more additions like the stylishly aerodynamic bumper, carbon-fiber reinforced front splitter, and a retuned suspension. The automaker also states that the 2017 GT-R NISMO makes the most downforce of any of its production cars created thus far.
The incredible Nissan is still powerful, with the same twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6 engine now producing 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque—up from the 565 hp and 467 lb-ft in the non-NISMO model.
Available in black, white, silver, and red, deliveries begin this fall with pricing expected to start above $165,000.
