Back in 2009 the relationship between French watch designer Alain Silberstein and MB&F began with their first joint effort, the HM2.2 “Black Box.” Now the duo have teamed up again to create Silberstein’s take on MB&F’s classic Legacy Machine N°1 (LM1), the LM1 Silberstein.
The new MB&F timepiece features Silberstein’s unique touch of primary colors (red, blue, and yellow), with geometric shapes (circles, squares, and triangles) that serve as the dial markers and hands.
The LM1 Silberstein has a brilliant three-dimensional movement that MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser created, which was realized by Jean-Francois Mojon and his team at Chronode, along with independent watchmaker Kari Voutilainen.
The LM1 Silberstein comes in black or brass finishes and is attached to a black calf strap. Also, engraved on the timepiece is the phrase, “Making a profession of your passion is true happiness” in French, which is a paraphrased quotation from Gustave Flaubert.
