After nearly eight years in the White House, it’s going to be tough for the Obamas to find a new residence that will even compare to the estate at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. However, it’s believed that the president has just secured a new home to reside in after the end of his term.

Reports claim that the 44th President of the United States has leased a luxurious nine-bedroom Tudor mansion in Washington, D.C.’s Kalorama neighborhood. Since Sasha still needs to finish high school, it makes sense that the Obamas will be staying nearby.

Last sold in May 2014 for more than $5 million, the home built in the late 1920s spans roughly 8,200 square feet over four floors and holds 9 bedrooms and 8.5 baths. Features like a foyer and a gallery with soignée black and white marble checkerboard floors, wood-paneled walls, and French doors add luxurious touches to the already regal property.

Additional amenities include a 34-foot-long windowless media lounge with a wet bar, a second full kitchen and laundry room, an in-law suite, a two-car garage, and an expansive motor court fit for at least a half dozen cars.

The Obamas also own a 6,200-square-foot home in Chicago that they purchased for $1.65 million in 2005.
