The previous home of actress Anne Hathaway is now on the market. Fans of the star have the opportunity to live where she used to live if they’re willing to shell out $33 million.
Hathaway once shared the five-bedroom midtown Manhattan duplex with her then-beau Raffaello Follieri in the mid-2000s. The pair reportedly rented the unit for $37,000 a month, but their love didn’t last and Follieri went on to serve time on charges of fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering.
Located in the Olympic Tower, the Fifth Avenue apartment spans 7,750 square feet. It overlooks St. Patrick’s Cathedral and even features unobstructed views of Central Park from the living room and additional views of the Empire State Building. If beautiful views are an issue, residents can choose to relax in front of the study’s 8-foot-wide projector screen.
Currently owned by the Bank family, South African real-estate developer Munro Bank and his wife Avra bought the duplex for $5.325 million back in 2000 and then went on to spend around $7 million on renovations. The Banks relocated to Miami in 2006 and consequently rented the unit out.
For those looking to lease instead, the immaculate unit is available for $48,000 a month. As for Hathaway, the actress is now married to producer Adam Schulman and the pair just welcomed their first child.
