The 2017 Land Rover Discovery Sport may not have any mechanical changes from its predecessor, but there are a bevy of new trim and design options that assert the company’s motto of “Above & Beyond.”

New to the Discovery Sport is a Black Limited Edition trim, which adds to the already present Black Design Pack, and is available in Silicon Silver, Yulong White, or Carpathian Grey paint schemes. The special trim gives the Discovery Sport new black-colored SPORT badging, a Dynamic grill, and privacy glass.

Also new to the 2017 Discovery Sport lineup is the Dynamic Design Pack for the HSE and HSE Lux versions of the vehicle. This adds more aggressive front and rear end styling, with the rear featuring integrated tailpipes and black detailing to go along with glossy 20-inch wheels.

The Dynamic Design Pack also boasts new technology like the 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro infotainment screen with a faster processor and 60GB solid-state drive. The upgraded pack also comes with added safety features such as lane keep assist, a driver condition monitor to help prevent sleepy driving, and an intelligent speed limiter to help avoid accidental speeding.

Land Rover has also integrated the Discovery Sport with Tile technology, which helps owners to avoid losing day-to-day items like keys, phones, tablets, or even bags by using a small Bluetooth tracker that is attached to each item. The Discovery Sport will know when the item is not in the car with the owner and can route the driver to the item’s location if it is missing.
