Many incredible designs were on debut during Salone Del Mobile 2016, but Spanish Design brand Sancal wowed with the unveiling of its retro-futuristic collection, Futura.

The new furniture collection is influenced by 1960s architecture and recalls styles from sci-fi films like “Space Odyssey.” The futuristic pieces are the perfect blend of artistry with space-age style and high-end quality materials.

Hoping to offer a new interior look that blends classic looks with out-of-this-world elements, pieces in the Futura collection maintain an air of luxury with streamlined design and minimalist construction.

The collection features seven new pieces, and each is made to steal the show among more minimally designed rooms with the goal of sporting fewer, but more expressive pieces.

The “Duplex” coffee table is a unique piece that is reminiscent of streamlined aircraft while the “Tonella” mini lounge chairs and “Vesper” tables add unique shapes and forms, perhaps recalling images of planets, space suits, or even spaceships.
