Actress and comedienne Mindy Kaling may have had her cancelled show “The Mindy Project” picked up by Hulu, but the star is looking to let go of her Sunset Strip home for $1.995 million.
Kaling’s home is a fixer-upper in Los Angeles between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills that she purchased in May of 2013 for $1.695 million. It was first listed for $2.6 million but eventually dropped to $2.35 million before it was finally taken off the market more than a year ago.
Now relisted, the home is set on a .14-acre parcel, and the two-story home boasts outstanding and unparalleled views, especially for a home listed under $2 million. The listing cites the home as perfect for replacing or renovating since it’s only 1,599 square feet set at the top of a perilous-looking slope.
The inside sports open and airy living spaces with plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows, a white brick corner fireplace, and a bold kitchen with medium-grade stainless steel appliances and bright cobalt blue ceramic tile countertops.
Kaling was nominated six times for her performance on “The Office,” and she’s the star, executive producer, and writer of “The Mindy Project.” She also owns a four-bedroom 1920s Spanish Revival hacienda style home in the Beverly Grove area of West Hollywood that she purchased for $1.575 million back in November of 2007.
