In addition to listing his New Canaan, Connecticut, home for $5.5 million, General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt has just purchased a Boston, Massachusetts, triplex for $8 million.

Although Immelt will be giving up quite a bit of Connecticut acreage, he’s not the only employee relocating. In fact, GE is relocating approximately 800 employees to its new corporate headquarters in Boston.

Immelt and his wife Andrea are in contract to purchase a beautiful triplex on Commonwealth Avenue in their new city, and the home is as elegant as expected. Spanning 3,565 square feet, the unit is one of only two units in the 1880 converted townhouse.

The unit holds 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and features coveted amenities like reserved parking spaces and a private deck.
