Aston Martin teamed up with Italian design firm Zagato to create a special Vanquish Zagato Concept, which is the latest addition to a long-running partnership between the two companies. The Zagato Concept made its debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy, last weekend.

The concept is the fifth car from the pair over a stretch of five decades and represents a blend of Aston Martin’s dedication to engine and material superiority and Zagato’s design styling.

Aston Martin Design team head Marek Reichman and Andrea Zagato and his team based in Milan, Italy, dreamed up the Vanquish Zagato Concept, and then Aston Martin built the carbon-fiber bodied concept at its facilities.

The Vanquish Zagato Concept also earns an upgraded version of the naturally aspirated V12 to make more than 590 horsepower paired with enhanced driving dynamics.

“We pride ourselves on our strong partnership and the creation of the Vanquish Zagato Concept was a true shared experience,” Zagato’s CEO, Andrea Zagato said. “It represents the essence of an important design relationship that dates back over fifty years.”
