Audi will pay homage to its 2015 victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours by showcasing the close relationship between its R8 track beasts and R8 production cars with a new limited edition model.
The new R8 V10 Plus Selection 24h comes with upgraded equipment and a race-themed carbon-fiber body package to celebrate the R8 LMS GT3 that won the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Fittingly, production will be limited to just 24 units.
The Selection 24h gets the same Suzuka Gray paint job as the LMS GT3, and of course the body earns the sideblades that have become a signature of the R8 models.
Along with other special R8 24h badges, the lucky owners will be able to display to the world their R8 ownership with the R8 logo shining onto the ground thanks to special door entry lights whenever the driver or passenger enters the 24h.
The R8 24h will debut at this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours race, which is from May 26 to May 29, and will have a $260,000 price tag, which is about $45,000 more than the 601-horsepower R8 V10 Plus the 24h model is based on.
