The New York City apartment of legendary tenor Luciano Pavarotti may have taken seven years to make its way onto the market, but after being listed for nearly two years, it failed to sell. After some dramatic price chops, the apartment is now back on the market as a combo unit for $20.5 million.
Considering the fame associated with the beautiful Central Park South pied-à-terre, it’s surprising that it never sold as is. However, the 23rd-floor apartment is set to be revamped as a 3,300-square-foot combo right beside the co-op next door.
The Hampshire House apartment hasn’t officially been combined yet, but when completed, it will offer 72 feet of Central Park frontage. This renovation will include the incredible 40-foot-long terrace that’s currently attached to the neighboring unit.
With 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and an aura of musical excellence all its own, it will be truly surprising if a special buyer doesn’t scoop up the unit now.
Pavarotti, an Italian operatic tenor, is known as one of the most successful tenors of all time and left a lasting legacy when he passed away in 2007.
