Mike Fleiss, the creator of hit reality shows “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” spent millions of dollars to custom design a luxurious retreat in Hanalei, Hawaii, but now the never-lived-in home has just been listed for $12.85 million.

Set on more than 7.3 acres of hilltop land on the North Shore of Kauai, the brand new home spans 5,000 square feet and is located down a long, gated drive. The home’s aesthetic is a blend of simple, modern styling and Polynesian resort-style architecture.

The open and airy main home is split into two sections that are linked by a wooden bridge that spans the 100-foot-long infinity-edge swimming pool. Inside, five bedrooms and 4.5 baths offer plenty of space while the living rooms feature vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass sliders.

Also on the lot is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse that can accommodate an on-site caretaker. However, the home’s residents can enjoy several features outside including a poolside palapa, several decks, a private footpath to the beach, and an elevated perch that offers panoramic views from Anini Beach to Kilauea lighthouse.

Fleiss has made several moves in the real estate marked recently, including the sale of his Malibu Point Dume property for $8.94 million to snowboarder Shaun White.
