Porsche has a new surprise in store for Cayenne fans with the introduction of its new Platinum Edition range for the crossover model.

The new Platinum Edition will hit showrooms later this year and will be based on the base and gasoline-electric S E-Hybrid Cayenne models with a bunch of extras for not that much more on the price tag.

Such extras altering the drivability are extra parking aids, tinted windows, anti-glare mirrors, and speed-sensitive steering gloss black exterior accents.

On top of the 7-inch touchscreen display for the new Porsche infotainment system that comes standard with all Cayenne editions, other cosmetic upgrades include 20-inch RS Spyder-style wheels, flared wheel arches, Porsche-logoed sports seats with leather and Alcantara trim, and stainless steel Platinum Edition monickered tread plates.

Opting for the Platinum Edition adds $6,000 to the price, with the regular 2017 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition costing $66,650 and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition running $82,650.
