Because of the popularity of the 2013 Mad chair, Italian company Poliform has grown its Mad furniture line with two new armchairs and dining chairs.

Like its predecessor, the new Mad line was designed by Netherlands-based designer Marcel Wanders, who rose to fame with his Knotted chair in 1996. Wanders’ new creations follow the trend of a modern take on the classic 1950s-era furniture, a style that is completed by tapered oak or black-elm legs that flare out from the rounded edges of the chairs.

The chairs can be upholstered in a wide range of leathers and fabrics to fit any room. Pricing for the newest addition to the Mad line start at around $5,500 depending on the chosen model and upholstery material.
